PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between joe ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Marley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marley is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Game- One Blood. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ortiz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
ortiz looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
ortiz tries a head kick but it misses.
ortiz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
ortiz walks into a left hand.
Marley moves out of range of the body kick from ortiz.

Marley gets the takedown into side control.

Marley decides to take the fight back to the feet.
ortiz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. ortiz tries to avoid it but Marley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag ortiz to the ground. ortiz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Marley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Marley works his way into side control.

Marley has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Marley looks to land a combination but ortiz avoids it well.
Marley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marley closes this distance looking for a takedown but ortiz circles away.

and Marley counters with a three punch combo that has ortiz backing up. ortiz nods at Marley to acknowledge the strikes.
ortiz lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
joe ortiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Marley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Marley tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
ortiz cracks Marley with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Marley throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! ortiz has his hands clasped together but Marley breaks the hold and ortiz is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Marley!
