With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mitsuyo Maeda!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aschenbreaker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nice defenses there by Aschenbreaker.
Maeda misses with a looping right.
Maeda avoids the body shot from Aschenbreaker.
Aschenbreaker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Maeda throws a shot to the body.
Maeda falls off balance throwing a combination
and Aschenbreaker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A swing and a miss from Maeda.
Maeda throws a jab but it's blocked by Aschenbreaker.
Maeda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aschenbreaker.
Maeda moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like Oleg Aschenbreaker has been cut.

Maeda looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maeda is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aschenbreaker's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aschenbreaker's back!

Maeda is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Aschenbreaker has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
