PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ho Lulu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Montilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montilo has chosen No Easy Way Out as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lulu fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lulu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Montilo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lulu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Montilo moves away.
Lulu moves in looking to clinch but Montilo pushes him off.
Montilo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lulu circles away quickly and effectively.

so Montilo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Montilo lands a couple of elbows.
Montilo won't allow Lulu to sweep him here.

Montilo drops back looking for a leg! Lulu is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lulu manages to kick Montilo off! Montilo jumps back into Lulu's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lulu wants to stand and escape but Montilo is having none of it.

Lulu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Montilo on the ground.

Montilo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Montilo lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Montilo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lulu's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Montilo lands a big shot there that rocks Lulu but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Lulu is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Montilo locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Lulu is forced to tap!
