PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tomppa Kalaveikko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Strongbow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kalaveikko comes to the cage accompanied by Laid to Rest. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomppa Kalaveikko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kalaveikko shoots in and drives through. Strongbow sprawls well.
Strongbow wants to clinch up but Kalaveikko keeps it at a distance.
Strongbow throws a combination. Kalaveikko tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Strongbow is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kalaveikko can't fight it off and eventually Strongbow manages to take the fight to the floor. Kalaveikko looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Strongbow must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kalaveikko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Strongbow manages to get himself to full guard.
Strongbow really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kalaveikko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kalaveikko advances to half guard.

Kalaveikko wants to work for an arm triangle but Strongbow is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kalaveikko is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Strongbow is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
