Matiss comes to the cage accompanied by Ennio Morricone - The Ecstasy of Gold. Mario Matiss has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matiss is looking to score with low kicks.
Pitbull on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Matiss. Matiss obviously looking to wear him down.

Matiss forces Pitbull back against the cage and clinches.
Pitbull tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Matiss is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Pitbull is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Matiss can't fight it off and eventually Pitbull manages to take the fight to the floor. Matiss looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pitbull seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Matiss does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
