Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Javier Casados!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hanma Bakki!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Casados tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bakki sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Casados somewhat.
Casados misses with a takedown attempt
and Bakki counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Casados!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bakki works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Bakki is looking to take a break and control but Casados is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bakki in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Casados is not content to let Bakki control the position.
Bakki lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bakki scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Casados is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Bakki can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hanma Bakki!
