Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louis Litt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dave Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Louis Litt!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litt works the jab nicely.
Barnes takes one on the button.
Barnes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Litt tries to avoid it but Barnes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Litt to the ground. Litt escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Barnes lands a high kick!


It looks like Louis Litt has been cut.
Barnes throws a head kick but Litt moves out of range.
Barnes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Litt swivels and escapes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A swing and a miss from Litt.
Litt tries to land a leg kick but Barnes saw it coming and moves away.
Litt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barness jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Barnes moves out of range as Litt strikes.
Litt has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Barnes.
Barnes wants to clinch but Litt slips to the side
and Litt counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Barnes uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Litt.
Litt throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Litt ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Barnes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Barnes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Barnes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Litt swats away the attempt to clinch by Barnes.
Litt misses with a hook. Barnes ducked under it nicely.
A big left from Litt misses.
Barnes closes the distance and clinches up with Litt, looking for a takedown. Barnes pushes Litt against the cage but Litt circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Horrible takedown by Barnes or perhaps it was just good defense by Litt which made him look bad.
Litt misses the jab.
Litt works the jab nicely.
Litt with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Barnes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Litt was covering up waiting for the punch and Barnes finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Barnes is breathing heavily.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Litt is controlling Barnes's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Litt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Barnes is one step ahead there.

Barnes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barnes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Litt pushes Barnes off and scrambles back to his feet.
Litt misses with a hook

and Barnes moves into the clinch.
Litt tries to break the clinch but Barnes is controlling the position.
Barnes keeps control of Litt as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Litt is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Litt working hard to break the clinch.
Litt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Barnes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Litt misses with a jab, cross combination.
Litt thows a left - swing and a miss!
Louis Litt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Litt lands a jab to the head.
Litt moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Litt looks to land a combination but Barnes avoids it well.
Litt scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Litt dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Barnes shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Litt but Litt pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barnes fails with an attempt to clinch.
Barnes looks for a takedown but Litt sprawls well.
Litt misses with a straight right.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Litt tries a low kick but Barnes avoids it.
Louis Litt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Litt lands a nice shot that snaps Barnes's head back.
Litt scores with a sloppy right hand. Barnes should have avoided that one.
Jab by Litt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Louis Litt dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Louis Litt's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Barnes gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Litt gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Barnes is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Louis Litt!
