Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zivojin Miric (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlo Sanji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miric stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miric wants it to stay on the feet.
Miric wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sanji doesn't manage to clinch there - Miric circles away.
Sanji fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Miric clinches.
Sanji is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miric is defending well.
Zivojin Miric has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlo Sanji.
Sanji misses with the head strike.
Miric is pressed up against the cage. Sanji has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Miric down to the mat. Miric avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Sanji shoots in looking for a takedown but Miric manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sanji's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miric accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanji can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sanji is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Sanji has eaten all the pies!
Miric trying to control but Sanji is working from the bottom.
Miric loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Sanji has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miric can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Miric has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Miric slips nicely into half guard.
Sanji looks winded!
Miric wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanji keeps working.
Miric is pressing down on Sanji's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sanji is holding on for now.
Miric works his foot free and advances to mount.

Miric looking to control but Sanji is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Miric unloads with some shots from mount but Sanji bucks and avoids them well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanji wants to control but Miric is having none of it.
Miric throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Miric will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Miric lands a heavy elbow.
Miric lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sanji is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sanji is bucking up trying to escape but Miric cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Sanji sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miric takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Miric wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanji keeps working.

Miric seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sanji is pressing down on Miric's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Miric passes Sanji's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Miric throws a strike but Sanji avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Miric working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sanji not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Miric slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Sanji avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Miric.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zivojin Miric dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Miric lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Sanji backs up against the cage.

It looks like Carlo Sanji has been cut.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Miric here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Sanji shoots in for a takedown but Miric shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Miric connects with a body shot.
Sanji doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Carlo Sanji seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sanji fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Miric lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sanji can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Miric and Sanji drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Miric.
