The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catherins circles away from the clinch attempt

and Catherins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dudnicov won't be happy with that.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee asks Catherins politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Catherins prefers to stall for the moment though.
Dudnicov pushes Catherins away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Catherins gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Catherins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dudnicov's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Catherins tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dudnicov just stands there and leans against the cage.

Catherins is looking to sinch up a triangle. Dudnicov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Catherins's body to avoid the submission. Catherins has instead reached around Dudnicov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Catherins arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
