Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Watts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Fitzwater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Watts's entrance music is saliva- Badass. A fine choice. Fitzwater has chosen skillet- Never Surrender as his entrance music. William Fitzwater struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 157.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. William Fitzwater will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Watts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Fitzwater!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Watts. That's going to slow Fitzwater down.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!

Fitzwater shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Watts is trying to defend but Fitzwater finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Fitzwater trying to control from half guard but Watts is working away.
Fitzwater is thwarting Watts's attempts to control the position.
Fitzwater wants to pass to mount but Watts is defending the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Watts works his way to full guard. Good work.

Watts throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Watts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fitzwater gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Watts manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fitzwater regains half guard.
Fitzwater is staying active underneath Watts, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Fitzwater wants to get back to his feet.
Fitzwater really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Watts. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Watts seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fitzwater does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Watts is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Fitzwater is defending against the submission attempts here by Watts.
Fitzwater moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Watts is pushing down on Fitzwater's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fitzwater is fighting to maintain full guard but Watts has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Watts stops Fitzwater from getting back to his feet.
Watts works his foot free and advances to mount.
Fitzwater is wriggling around trying to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Watts moves to the back.
Fitzwater tries to roll but Watts sticks to his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Watts dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Watts looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Watts fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Fitzwater to the ground. Watts is now in Fitzwater's guard.

Fitzwater throws his legs up looking for a submission but Watts uses it to pass to side control.

Watts tries for a kimura but Fitzwater is defending well.
Fitzwater is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Watts advances nicely into full mount.

Fitzwater tries to buck Watts off so he can stand up but Watts has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Fitzwater falls backwards, slamming Watts to the mat but Watts holds on tight! Fitzwater is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Watts!
After the fight, Jack Watts was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
