Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dean Clover (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Octavio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dean Clover!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Octavio Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramos ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Donk. Ramos catches Clover right on the button with a cross.
Clover shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramos defends it nicely.
Dean Clover seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ramos, as that shot connected.
Clover throws a sloppy body shot
and Ramos counters with a stiff right hand.
Clover dives in and grabs Ramos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramos pushes down on Clover's head and hops out.
Ramos throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clover shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ramos defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Clover. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ramos gets caught flat footed, as Clover shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Clover with a flurry of punches that miss.
Clover has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Clover is looking to work some ground and pound but Ramos has wrist control.
Ramos preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Clover lands a couple of elbows.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clover with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Ramos working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Clover.

Clover chips away with some ground and pound.
Clover throws a strike but Ramos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Ramos wants to control from the top but Clover keeps moving.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Clover preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Ramos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Clover has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ramos has managed to get both his arms back between Clover's legs - danger averted.

Ramos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Clover looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Clover looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Clover!
Clover lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ramos down.

Clover tries for a kimura but Ramos is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Clover wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ramos, who protects the arm well.

Clover working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Clover works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Ramos tries to buck Clover off but Clover is having none of it.
Clover sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Ramos is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Clover controls the position.

Clover thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Clover misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ramos struggling a bit here.
Ramos tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Clover wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Clover tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ramos takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Clover is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ramos knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dean Clover dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Clover's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ramos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Clover scrambles back to his feet.
Clover shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ramos pinned against the cage. Ramos gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Clover fails with a takedown attempt.
Clover has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Clover. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ramos with a nice cross.
Ramos lands a nice looking body shot.
Clover shoots in but no luck this time.
Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ramos throws a right and a left that Clover avoids nicely.
Clover shoots in looking for a takedown but Ramos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Clover's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Clover looks for a takedown but Ramos sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ramos lands a left and a right that send Clover crashing to the mat, dazed. Ramos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Clover is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nice takedown defense from Ramos. No joy for Clover on that attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ramos lands with a cross.
Oh Clover is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A lazy left from Ramos finds it's target.
Ramos jabs at Clover's body.
Ramos steps in with a hook that catches Clover right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Ramos follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Clover looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Octavio Ramos!
