Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel has chosen Ain't No Sunshine as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Nick Diaz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nick Diaz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Nick Diaz has been cut.
Steel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Steel misses with a double jab
and Diaz counters with a three punch combo that has Steel backing up. Steel nods at Diaz to acknowledge the strikes.
Steel misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Steel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz.
Steel is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Steel scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diaz is trying to pull guard but Steel has him pressed against the cage.

Diaz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Steel prevents it.

Diaz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diaz somewhat.

Steel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Steel looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely.
Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Steel, as that shot connected.
Steel lands with a right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Steel misses with a straight right.
Diaz throws a head kick but Steel moves out of range.
Diaz walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Diaz is rocked!
Steel lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Diaz - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Steel!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Steel!
During a confident post fight interview, Alex Steel thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
