Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaru Hideki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hideki has chosen I've Just Seen a Face as his entrance music. Chris Kendall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kendall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 10 - 2, fighting out of London, Masaru Hideki!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall looks to score with a jab to the body but Hideki is just out of range.
Kendall throws a series of punches but Hideki avoids them all with ease.
Hideki misses with a head kick.
Hideki shoots and misses
and Kendall counters with a straight right hand.
Kendall dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kendall smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hideki connects with an inside leg kick.
Kendall throws a body kick that misses

and Hideki counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kendall won't be happy with that.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kendall is trying to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
An elbow from Hideki crashes against the mat.
Hideki misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Hideki has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Hideki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kendall knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hideki is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hideki cracks Kendall with a solid left hand.
Kendall controls Hideki momentarily but Hideki frees himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We're going to have a standup here because Chris Kendall wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hideki connects with an inside leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Masaru Hideki dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kendall loads up on a big right hand but Hideki slips the punch.
Kendall tries a head kick but it misses.
Kendall looks to throw the jab but Hideki is out of range.
Hideki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kendall. Kendall obviously looking to wear him down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hideki working over Kendall with some ground and pound. Kendall looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hideki looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kendall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Kendall is controlling Hideki's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Hideki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kendall does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hideki moves nicely into side control.
Check out the look on Hideki's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kendall regains half guard.
Hideki slips a nice elbow through Kendall's hands, connecting with Kendall's forehead.
Hideki misses with a head shot. Kendall uses the momentum to regain guard.

Hideki postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kendall is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hideki, into his guard.

Hideki moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kendall tries to free his leg and advance position but Hideki is retaining full guard.
Hideki has his hands on Kendall's head, controlling the position.
Kendall looking to sit in guard and control but Hideki gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kendall is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Hideki pushes down on Kendall's leg and manages to get into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Masaru Hideki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kendall's corner calls for a 1-2. Kendall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Kendall throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hideki on the side of the head.

Kendall connects with the punch.
Hideki catches Kendall with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Good leg kick by Hideki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kendall throws a wild body kick that Hideki sees coming a mile off.

Kendall is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Kendall takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kendall.
Kendall looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kendall misses with a hook.
Kendall throws a looping overhand right but Hideki ducks down to avoid it.
Chris Kendall has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kendall closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

and Kendall makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Hideki really felt that one!

and Hideki counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kendall's guard now.

Kendall can't keep his opponent in guard - Hideki advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kendall makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kendall.
Masaru Hideki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kendall is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kendall will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Masaru Hideki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Hideki winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
