Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Greg Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Dixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carlos Torres!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dixon moves into range and clinches up with Torres.
Dixon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Torres landing knees to the head.
Torres takes an elbow to the forehead.


It looks like Carlos Torres has been cut.

Dixon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dixon instigates a clinch.
Torres throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dixon blocks it with crossed arms.

Dixon breaks the clinch.

Dixon moves into the clinch.
Dixon managing to block the knees to the body from Torres.

Dixon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Torres wants to get back to his feet but Dixon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Torres looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Dixon wants to get up but he can't break Torres's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Dixon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Torres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dixon lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Dixon is in close to Torres's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Torres trying to keep a closed guard but Dixon is proving a slippery customer.
Torres avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dixon tries to stand but Torres is controlling from the bottom.
Torres is looking to stand up but Dixon isn't so interested in that idea.
Dixon postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Dixon sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Torres's guard.
Dixon working over Torres with some ground and pound. Torres looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Dixon is nestled in close to Torres, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dixon is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dixon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Torres sees it coming and defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dixon scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Dixon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.


Torres is rocked!

Torres is still in real trouble! Can Dixon finish him?
Dixon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dixon is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Torres is hurt! He's hurt bad - Dixon fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Torres from any more punishment! Congratulations to Dixon! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Dixon!
Greg Dixon seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
