Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Esko Majava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ed Gruberman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gruberman has chosen Boot to the Head as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ed Gruberman!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Majava throws a jab but it's blocked by Gruberman.
Majava takes a swing at Gruberman's ribcage but misses.
Gruberman stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Majava.
Majava throws a leg kick
and Gruberman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Majava throws a shot from downtown. Gruberman moves away and avoids it.
Majava swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A telegraphed right hand from Majava misses the target.
Gruberman ducks under a wild hook from Majava.
Majava throws a half hearted mid kick.

Majava throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A low kick from Majava is predictable there
enabling Gruberman to counter with a crisp jab.
Majava throws a lazy body kick
and Gruberman makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Majava really felt that one!
Majava misses with a hook
and Gruberman counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
A nice leg kick lands there from Majava.
Majava throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
A low kick from Majava is predictable there
and Majava takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Majava swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Esko Majava seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gruberman slips a straight right by Majava.
Gruberman avoids the body shot from Majava.
Gruberman blocks a jab.
Gruberman takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Majava tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Gruberman counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Majava moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
The fighters circling - Majava throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Majava throws a lazy head kick
and Majava takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gruberman counters with a left to the body.
Majava connects with the punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Majava cracks a nice hook into Gruberman's ribs.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Majava.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Majava lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Majava drops Gruberman with a straight right hand, right on the button! Majava follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
