The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donovan scores with a jab to the jaw.
Kolodin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Donovan.
Kolodin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Donovan as he avoids it easily.
Kolodin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Donovan throws a body punch but Kolodin moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Donovan misses the target.
Donovan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kolodin manages to avoid it.
Donovan leaves Kolodin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kolodin ducks under a wild hook from Donovan.
Donovan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kolodin.
Jacob Donovan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alan Kolodin.
Kolodin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Donovan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kolodin somewhat.

The crowd cheers as Donovan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kolodin doesn't seem phased though.

Jacob Donovan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
