Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lianm Eddson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sloan's choice of entrance music: What you know about that. Lianm Eddson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eddson shoots for a double leg takedown but Sloan sprawls well. He's pushed Eddson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sloan avoids the head kick by Eddson.

and Sloan counters with a nice body kick.

Sloan clinches up against the cage.
Eddson tries to break the clinch but Sloan is controlling the position.
Sloan is trying to pull guard but Eddson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Eddson is trying to push Sloan away but Sloan has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Sloan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Eddson backwards.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Sloan shoots in looking for a takedown. Eddson tries to sprawl out of it but Sloan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eddson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Sloan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sloan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Eddson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Lianm Eddson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sloan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Sloan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Eddson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sloan down.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lianm Eddson will probably get the nod.
