Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chad Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timur Uzbaijzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Roberts might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Real American. Timur Uzbaijzky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chad Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Timur Uzbaijzky!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzbaijzky is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Roberts swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Uzbaijzky throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Roberts.
Uzbaijzky avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roberts will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Roberts keeps the fight on the outside.
Roberts shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Uzbaijzky but Uzbaijzky pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Roberts swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Uzbaijzky is now in Roberts's guard. A big mistake from Roberts there, giving up the dominant position!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Uzbaijzky decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Roberts tries to clinch but Uzbaijzky moves out of range.
Roberts is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roberts doesn't manage to clinch there - Uzbaijzky circles away.
Uzbaijzky tries to close the distance and clinch but Roberts swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Roberts on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Uzbaijzky. Uzbaijzky obviously looking to wear him down.
Roberts tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Uzbaijzky manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Roberts fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uzbaijzky, pushing him back against the cage.
Roberts drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Uzbaijzky gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Roberts has Uzbaijzky pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Uzbaijzky manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Chad Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Uzbaijzky enables Roberts to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Uzbaijzky manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Uzbaijzky is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Uzbaijzky kicks Roberts off and gets to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Uzbaijzky slaps away a takedown attempt from Roberts, before circling back to the center of the mat.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Uzbaijzky throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Roberts stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Chad Roberts will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
