The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carreri shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Carreri tries to advance to mount but Silva denies him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Carreri's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Silva is looking to escape.
Silva regains full guard. Nicely done.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Carreri is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Carreri has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Carreri is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Carreri to sleep! This one is all over!

A less than humble Renato Silva misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
