The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archavin takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Archavin has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Serious connects with a nice looking jab.

Archavin moves into range and clinches up with Serious.
Archavin blocks a body shot from Serious.

Archavin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Serious uses from the top position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Serious wants to control from the top but Archavin keeps moving.
Serious knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Archavin on the ground.
Archavin throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Serious might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Serious stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Archavin swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Archavin pulls Serious in close to his closed guard and prevents Serious from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Serious shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Archavin eats them both and turns towards Serious to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Archavin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Archavin is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Serious is stalking Archavin. Archavin circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Serious, and it's lights out! Archavin really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
