Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Numan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scooter McDaniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scooter McDaniels is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Numan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Numan fails with the takedown.
Numan shoots in and drives through. McDaniels sprawls well.

Numan closes the distance and clinches up with McDaniels, looking for a takedown. Numan pushes McDaniels against the cage but McDaniels circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Numan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Numan lands in his opponent's guard.

Numan throws a strike but McDaniels rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Numan looking to hit a scissor sweep but McDaniels is one step ahead there.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Numan is on top in guard.

McDaniels is trying to control the position from the bottom.
McDaniels really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Numan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
McDaniels wants to stand up but Numan is controlling him.

Numan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Numan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Numan pushing down on McDaniels's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Numan is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McDaniels wants to get back to his feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Scooter McDaniels will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

McDaniels connects with a single shot there.
McDaniels shoots for a takedown but Numan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Numan takes a body punch but keeps moving.

McDaniels forces Numan back against the cage and clinches.
Numan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but McDaniels pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Numan jumps guard but McDaniels turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
