Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luiz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mendes to the ground. Luiz is now in Mendes's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Luiz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mendes - the referee stops the clock and Luiz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mendes. Luiz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Luiz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mendes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mendes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Luiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Luiz cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
