Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Jin Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Evans!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim shoots in looking for a takedown but Evans manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Evans scores with a one two! Kim had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Jin Kim has been cut.
Evans connects with a crisp jab.
Evans connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Evans scores with a nice right hand.
Evans works Kim's body with a nice hook.
Kim doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Evans counters with a single leg into guard. Kim didn't expect that.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kim accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Kim dives in and grabs Evans's left leg, looking for a takedown. Evans pushes down on Kim's head and hops out.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Evans punishes Kim's body with a nice straight punch.
Kim moves in looking to clinch but Evans pushes him off.
Evans is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Kim with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Evans to score with a decent uppercut.
Kim throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Evans's waist but Evans gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kim off to one side.
Evans lands with an overhand left.
Kim checks a leg kick nicely.
Evans scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Evans scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kim looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Evans motions for Kim to come forward. Evans throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Evans tries to bum rush Kim with a series of wild strikes but Kim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kim walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Evans decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kim's guard.
Evans tries to free his leg and advance position but Kim is retaining full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kim is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Evans wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kim working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kim wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.

Kim stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
