Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Claudio Tenorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green comes to the cage accompanied by Monster. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eugene Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claudio Tenorio!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tenorio avoids it really well and circles away.
Tenorio looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Green throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tenorio was covering up waiting for the punch and Green finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Green is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Green postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tenorio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Green gets tackled into the cage by Tenorio. Tenorio maintains the clinch.

Tenorio breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Green pulls guard effortlessly.

Green is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That was a close round but I would say that Eugene Green will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Green postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tenorio to stand up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tenorio enables Green to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tenorio manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tenorio's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tenorio leaves Green with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Green swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!

A pretty intense looking Eugene Green took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
