Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie avoids the head kick by Santana.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Santana as he avoids it easily.
Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Santana sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gracie blocks a head kick by Santana.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gracie is defended easily by Santana.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Royals Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Santana throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
No joy there for Santana, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A looping hook to the body misses from Santana. Gracie does a little dance to reset his feet.

Gracie has closed the distance and engaged Santana in a clinch.
Santana is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Gracie is trying to break the clinch but Santana is controlling him.

Santana's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Santana lands a nice looking kick to the body. Gracie takes a step back to recover.

Gracie closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Santana did well to prevent Gracie getting side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracie thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Gracie is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Santana is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
