The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Safforn throws a jab when Man was well out of range.

Man is trying to drag Safforn to the mat but Safforn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Safforn struggles to land a body shot inside as Man controls his hands.
Safforn lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Man has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Safforn after a bit of a struggle.
Man is defending well against a takedown attempt.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Safforn takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Safforn lands a body shot in the clinch.

Safforn jumps into guard, dragging Man to the mat.
Safforn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Safforn tries to reverse the position but Man maintains control.

Man looking to control but Safforn is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Safforn shoots for a double leg takedown but Man sprawls well. He's pushed Safforn's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Man avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Man gets caught napping as Safforn dives in and scores a takedown. Man manages to retain guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Safforn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Man is looking to work some ground and pound but Safforn has wrist control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Safforn wants to free his trapped foot but Man is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Man has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Safforn does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Man shoots in but no luck this time.

That kick from Safforn tenderised Man's leg. Man is trying to keep his angry face on.
Safforn scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Safforn looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Safforn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Man's sensitive parts.

Man takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

A very excited looking Abraham Safforn made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
