Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Descharme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Black scores with the left hand. Descharme knows he should have avoided that one.
Descharme digs a good body shot into Black's ribs.

Black tries to sprawl but Descharme drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Black wants to control but Descharme is keeping busy.
Black won't allow Descharme to pass to mount.
Descharme winds up and cracks Black with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Black wants to improve his position but Descharme is controlling well.

Descharme is working for a kimura but Black is defending it quite comfortably.
Descharme prevents Black from standing back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Descharme connects with a nice short shot to Black's temple.

Descharme seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Descharme postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Descharme stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Black swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Black is looking for a sweep. Descharme is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Descharme in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Black tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Descharme!

A relieved looking Jean Descharme thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
