Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sheldon Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Sapp!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooper shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sapp but Sapp pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Sapp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sapp wants it to stay on the feet.
Cooper sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Sapp gets a clinch.
Cooper jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sapp walks away with a smile on his face. Cooper gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sheldon Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sapp decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Sapp takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bob Sapp was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Cooper displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sapp.
Sapp rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cooper moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Sapp fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sapp drives through and clinches with Cooper against the cage.
Cooper tries to score a body lock takedown but Sapp shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Sapp breaks from the clinch.
Sapp lands a leg kick that knocks Cooper off balance momentarily.
Sheldon Cooper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sapp tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cooper swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sapp ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Cooper is breathing heavily.
Sapp lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sapp moves into range and clinches up with Cooper.

Sapp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice straight punches there by Sapp. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sapp.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Cooper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cooper fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sapp avoids it really well and circles away.
Cooper on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Sapp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Sapp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Sapp lands a big head kick that sends Cooper tumbling to the mat! Sapp takes a step backwards and waves Cooper back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Sheldon Cooper has been cut.

Sapp looking to score a takedown here. Cooper is defending well but Sapp drives through and ends up in Cooper's guard.
Sapp controls from within his opponent's guard.
Cooper on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cooper tries to get out of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like Sapp might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bob Sapp.

Sapp clinches up with Cooper and pushes him back against the cage.

Sapp manages to break the clinch.

Sapp moves into the clinch successfully.
Cooper goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sapp prevents it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cooper. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Sapp pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cooper tries for a takedown but Sapp sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sapp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sapp has Cooper up against the cage in a clinch.
Sapp gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Sapp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sapp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sapp is trying to get an arm triangle but Cooper is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cooper is letting Sapp control him for a moment.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cooper is looking for a sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Sapp dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Sheldon Cooper's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Sapp closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cooper to the mat! Cooper manages to get full guard.
Sapp slips nicely into half guard.
Sapp perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cooper is trying to maintain the position but Sapp is very close to passing his half guard.

Sapp is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cooper defends it well.
Sapp looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooper wants to get back to full guard.
Sapp controlling the pace.

Bob Sapp has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sapp shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cooper sprawls well. Cooper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sapp gets slowly back to his feet.

Sapp rushes Cooper and presses him up against the cage.

Cooper goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sapp prevents it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sapp escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cooper takes a head kick and keeps coming.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cooper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sheldon Cooper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Oooooh!!! Sapp has knocked Cooper down with a huge combo! Sapp steps away and waves a wobbly Cooper back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Sapp fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cooper, pushing him back against the cage.

Sapp manages to break the clinch.
Sapp has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Sapp gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Sapp breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sapp connects with an inside leg kick.
Sapp lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Cooper crumples to the floor! Sapp milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bob Sapp!
Bob Sapp decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
