Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Ronald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomes comes into the arena with Sou Monstro blaring out of the sound system. Chris Ronald struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Chris Ronald has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomes misses with a wild combination.

Ronald has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Gomes clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Gomes is trying to get back to his feet but Ronald has full control of the position and if anything, Gomes has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Well, with Ronald on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Gomes is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Gomes takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Ronald is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gomes pulls his head out easily.

Ronald working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gomes doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gomes manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gomes is looking to defend but Ronald has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gomes! Ronald pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gomes taps out and this one is all over!
