PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hannu Tappanii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sfm Sfm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hannu Tappanii had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.3lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hannu Tappanii!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sfm Sfm!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yuuki Gou and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sfm shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tappanii pinned against the cage. Tappanii gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sfm enables Tappanii to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sfm manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Tappanii got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sfm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tappanii has managed to get both his arms back between Sfm's legs - danger averted.

Tappanii pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sfm is keeping the position for now.
Sfm can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tappanii controls the pace.
Sfm is trying to control the position but Tappanii postures up.
Tappanii wants to control from the top but Sfm keeps moving.
Tappanii prevents Sfm from getting back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hannu Tappanii.

Tappanii working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Sfm turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tappanii off and cradles Sfm's limp body as Tappanii celebrates with his corner.
