Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cristobal Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Take Down (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz looks for a takedown but Down sprawls well.

Down wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.
Diaz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Down is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Diaz enables Down to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Diaz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Diaz is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Down defends well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
