The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Champion tries to clinch but Lesnar is having none of it.
Champion is looking to clinch but Lesnar is avoiding it.
Champion ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fight stays on the outside here - Champion looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Champion shoots for a takedown but Lesnar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lesnar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Champion is looking to clinch.
Champion misses with a takedown attempt - Lesnar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Champion moves out of range of the strikes.
A head kick misses from Champion.
Lesnar throws a shot from downtown. Champion moves away and avoids it.
Champion wants to clinch up but Lesnar keeps it at a distance.
Lesnar throws a looping overhand right but Champion ducks down to avoid it.

Champion shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lesnar's guard.
Champion stops Lesnar from standing up.

Lesnar wriggles free and stands up.
Lesnar throws a jab when Champion was well out of range.
Lesnar stuffs the takedown attempt from Champion. Champion gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mma Champion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Champion tries for a takedown but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lesnar is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Champion wants to clinch.

Lesnar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Champion momentarily.

It looks like Mma Champion has been cut.
Champion defending well as Lesnar loads up on a big left hand.
Champion ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lesnar throws a lazy right hand but Champion sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lesnar throws the left hand but Champion avoids the punch easily.
Lesnar misses with an uppercut.
Lesnar looks to land a left hand but Champion moved out of range nicely.
Champion tries to clinch but Lesnar moves out of range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Champion shoots in looking for a takedown. Lesnar tries to sprawl out of it but Champion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lesnar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Champion moves away from the strike by Lesnar.
Lesnar keeps the fight on the outside.
Brock Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Champion shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lesnar but Lesnar pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Champion is breathing heavily.
Lesnar misses with a looping left.
Champion tries to clinch but Lesnar is having none of it.
Lesnar throws a hook but Champion avoids it easily.

Champion tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Lesnar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Champion tries to move into range but Lesnar moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Champion tries for a takedown but Lesnar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lesnar throws a hook to the side of Champion's head but Champion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Champion wants to clinch.
Champion shoots in but no luck this time.
Lesnar is stalking Champion. Champion circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Lesnar, and it's lights out! Champion really payed the price for that rookie mistake.

Brock Lesnar was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
