Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Meka Bertane Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atilla Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Meka Bertane Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Atilla Khan!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertane Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Khan sprawls well. Khan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bertane Jr gets slowly back to his feet.
Bertane Jr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Khan has his takedown stuffed
and Bertane Jr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
No luck for Khan with that takedown attempt.
Meka Bertane Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla Khan.
Khan shoots in but Bertane Jr avoids the takedown attempt easily.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Bertane Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Khan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bertane Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Khan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Khan throws a strike but Bertane Jr rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Khan wants to stand and escape but Bertane Jr is having none of it.
Khan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Khan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Bertane Jr is controlling him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee asks Bertane Jr politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bertane Jr prefers to stall for the moment though.
Khan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bertane Jr wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Khan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

and Bertane Jr counters with a single leg into guard. Khan didn't expect that.

Bertane Jr has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Khan has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bertane Jr throws an elbow that misses. Khan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bertane Jr's guard. Nice move by Khan!
Khan is looking to work some ground and pound but Bertane Jr has wrist control.
Bertane Jr has his feet on Khan's thighs here. He's pushed Khan off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Khan screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Meka Bertane Jr!
After winning the bout, Meka Bertane Jr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
