Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stan Reijkard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Stan Reijkard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stan Reijkard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Genghis Khan!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Khan.
Khan lands a few punches from side control.

Khan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Khan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Khan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Khan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Reijkard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Khan wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Khan thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Khan advances nicely into full mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Khan controlling the pace for now.
Reijkard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Khan on the ground.

Khan has control of Reijkard's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reijkard regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Khan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Reijkard to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Reijkard shrugs it off.
Khan lands with some strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Khan forces the positional change into back control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Khan is punishing Reijkard with some ground and pound.


It looks like Stan Reijkard has been cut.
Reijkard rolls, trying to escape but Khan keeps control of the position.

Reijkard is trying to defend against the choke here but Khan has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Khan Tightens the hold and Reijkard taps out furiously! Khan displays superior BJJ to win the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Genghis Khan!
During a confident post fight interview, Genghis Khan thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
