The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartowski shoots for a takedown but Townsley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Townsley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Townsley scores with a takedown into Bartowski's guard.
Bartowski scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Townsley fails with an attempt to clinch.
Townsley shoots in but Bartowski avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bartowski bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bartowski wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Townsley, who protects the arm well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The strikes coming from Bartowski are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bartowski tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bartowski is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Townsley is trying to escape and Bartowski transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Townsley is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bartowski! Very nice indeed!
