Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rosen Lyubenov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matthew Gallant!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyubenov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lyubenov throws a sloppy head kick and Gallant moves out of range easily.
Lyubenov darts in trying to clinch

and Gallant counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lyubenov gets full guard.

Gallant got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lyubenov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gallant has managed to get both his arms back between Lyubenov's legs - danger averted.
Lyubenov trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Gallant tries to free his leg and advance position but Lyubenov is retaining full guard.

Lyubenov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gallant is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lyubenov.
Lyubenov wants to get back to his feet.

Gallant tries for a kimura but Lyubenov is defending well.
Lyubenov is looking for a sweep.

Lyubenov is working hard here to advance position.
Gallant working away.
Lyubenov is looking to get back to his feet here but Gallant is keeping cool and he's managed to take Lyubenov's back.
Lyubenov trying to control the hands but Gallant breaks the grip.

Lyubenov manages to stand up with Gallant still on his back. Eventually Gallant drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lyubenov prevents the takedown attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Rosen Lyubenov will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lyubenov gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gallant.
Lyubenov can't get the takedown.
Gallant changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lyubenov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lyubenov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Lyubenov lands a big head kick that sends Gallant tumbling to the mat! Lyubenov takes a step backwards and waves Gallant back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Gallant is rocked!

Gallant is still on wobbly legs! Can Lyubenov finish him?
Lyubenov tries to clinch but Gallant is having none of it.

Look low, kick high! Lyubenov uses the oldest trick in the book to send Gallant tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Lyubenov is absolutely delighted - when Gallant wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
