Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kid Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dos Santos has chosen "This Is War" by Il Nino as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Gabriel Dos Santos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quick pinned against the cage. Quick gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Quick moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Dos Santos goes down! Can Quick finish him!?

Quick would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Dos Santos seems to have recovered his senses.

Dos Santos has his foot on Quick's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Quick works his way back into a safe position though.
Dos Santos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quick's guard.

Dos Santos might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Quick kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Dos Santos sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Quick's guard.
Quick is staying active underneath Dos Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Quick is trying to stand.
Quick is refusing to be controlled, as Dos Santos sits in half guard.
Quick is looking to escape.
Dos Santos is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Quick is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Dos Santos has taken his back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quick is breathing heavily.

Dos Santos is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Quick has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Dos Santos has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Quick taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Dos Santos doesn't care though - he's delighted!
