The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thanos jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Thanos tries to clinch but Rene Roussimoff is having none of it.

Thanos waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Rene Roussimoff. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Rene Roussimoff to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Andre Rene Roussimoff has been cut.
Rene Roussimoff on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rene Roussimoff tries to get out of the position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Thanos throws a big right hand that misses.

Rene Roussimoff has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Thanos off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Thanos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rene Roussimoff as he avoids it easily.
Thanos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rene Roussimoff pinned against the cage. Rene Roussimoff gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Andre Rene Roussimoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eternal Thanos.
