Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Montgomery Nagendra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fiodor Jemelianko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nagendra's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mozart - Lacrimosa. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Montgomery Nagendra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Fiodor Jemelianko!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jemelianko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nagendra circles away.

Nagendra drives through with a takedown into Jemelianko's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Jemelianko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nagendra defends it easily.
Jemelianko is trying to control the position but Nagendra postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jemelianko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jemelianko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nagendra is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nagendra has escaped and now he's on top!

Jemelianko looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nagendra has picked Jemelianko up and slammed him! Jemelianko can't keep hold of the triangle and Nagendra manages to pass to side control!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nagendra cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Nagendra lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jemelianko is wriggling around trying to escape.
Nagendra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jemelianko looks a forlorn figure.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nagendra tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Jemelianko bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Nagendra misses with a straight left.

Jemelianko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jemelianko lands in his opponent's guard.
Montgomery Nagendra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Nagendra works to advance to full mount. Jemelianko defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Nagendra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jemelianko looks a forlorn figure.
Jemelianko is looking to improve his position but Nagendra isn't that keen on the idea.
Jemelianko is bucking up trying to escape but Nagendra cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Nagendra is trying to stick to Jemelianko's back but Jemelianko is turning into Nagendra. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Nagendra's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jemelianko.

That was a close second round but I would say that Montgomery Nagendra will probably get the nod.
That's time! Nagendra's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!


Jemelianko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Nagendra throws a hook but Jemelianko avoids it easily.
Nagendra shoots in looking for a takedown but Jemelianko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nagendra's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Nagendra stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Nagendra wants it to stay on the feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Montgomery Nagendra.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nagendra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
