Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Khaslov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josiah Bartlet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khaslov comes into the arena with You can't bring me down blaring out of the sound system. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Josiah Bartlet was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartlet closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Bartlet creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Khaslov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bartlet is defending well for now.
Bartlet gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Khaslov regains guard.
Bartlet throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Khaslov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Bartlet must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bartlet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Bartlet winds up and cracks Khaslov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Khaslov has hold of Bartlet's hands but Bartlet slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Khaslov is rocked!
Bartlet not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Oh Khaslov is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khaslov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bartlet scores with a couple of nice shots.
Bartlet lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Khaslov quite badly. Khaslov pulls Bartlet in close trying to recover. Bartlet postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Khaslov on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Khaslov doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josiah Bartlet!
