Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lazarus Envy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vinnie Pantolone!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pantolone avoids the head kick by Envy.
Pantolone throws a solid leg kick but Envy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Pantolone.
Envy fails to land the takedown.
Pantolone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Envy looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ground and pound from Pantolone seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Envy tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pantolone wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Pantolone decides to stand up, so the ref orders Envy to his feet.
Pantolone misses with the combination.
Envy lands with a kick to the temple. Pantolone shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Envy circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Pantolone drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Envy follows Pantolone to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lazarus Envy!
