Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Don Diego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Zayd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Cancion del Mariachi. Abu Zayd looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abu Zayd!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diego lands with a kick to the temple. Zayd shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Zayd fails with the takedown
and Diego counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Zayd tries to pull guard but Diego holds him up against the cage and eventually Zayd drops back down to his feet.
Diego lands with a right to the head.
Zayd tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Diego smiles and moves away.
Don Diego has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abu Zayd.
Diego connects with an inside leg kick.
Diego will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zayd shoots for a takedown but Diego saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Zayd takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Diego misses with a low kick.
Zayd fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Diego.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Diego explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Diego gets through Zayd's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Zayd tries to pull guard but Diego forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Diego lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zayd backwards.
Zayd is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Diego to keep the fight standing.
Diego gets through Zayd's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Diego works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Zayd jumps guard but Diego stands there with Zayd around his waist. Zayd gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Diego scores with a nice short uppercut.
Diego digs a right hand into Zayd's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Zayd's gas tank.
Diego pushes Zayd back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Diego lands a body shot.
Diego gets through Zayd's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Diego lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Zayd is rocked!
A nice left hand lands by Diego.
Zayd is still on wobbly legs! Can Diego finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diego lands a hook that snaps the head of Zayd backwards.
Diego lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Diego lands a big right hand that drops Zayd! The killer instinct kicks in and Diego finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Diego!

A relieved looking Don Diego thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
