Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyrant Brutal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dark Mood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mood motions for Brutal to come forward. Mood throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Brutal manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mood on his heels. He'll look to pass Mood's guard now, I'm sure.
Mood pulls Brutal in close to prevent any damage.

Brutal postures up in Mood's guard and throws a big left but Mood blocks it.

Brutal drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mood manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brutal has Mood in his guard.

Mood got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brutal has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mood has managed to get both his arms back between Brutal's legs - danger averted.

Brutal has his foot on Mood's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mood works his way back into a safe position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mood takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Mood has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Mood tries to pass to full mount but Brutal defends it.
Brutal is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Dark Mood wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mood working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brutal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brutal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mood holds on and takes a little breather.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
