Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dic Cheddars!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Noah Jack!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jack shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cheddars napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jack goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Cheddars rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jack's guard! Nice work there by Cheddars!
Cheddars is looking to work some ground and pound but Jack has wrist control.

Jack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cheddars doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cheddars manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jack looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jack tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Cheddars presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Cheddars postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jack looks a forlorn figure.
Jack is still in real trouble! Can Cheddars finish him?

Jack seems to have recovered his senses.
Cheddars takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Cheddars lands a big shot there that rocks Jack but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cheddars cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cheddars postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Jack is out cold - huge knockout for Cheddars!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dic Cheddars!
Dic Cheddars retains his middleweight title!
Dic Cheddars really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Golden Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
