The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ring lands a jab to Szymkowiak's midsection.

Ring thows a body shot but no joy.
Ring bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Szymkowiak's head.

Ring connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Oooooh!!! Ring has knocked Szymkowiak down with a huge combo! Ring steps away and waves a wobbly Szymkowiak back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

That has opened up Piotr Szymkowiak's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ring throws a nice looking combination but Szymkowiak bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ring is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Szymkowiak ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Ring stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Ring lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

The cut above Piotr Szymkowiak's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Ring fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Szymkowiak manages to avoid it.
Ring connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Piotr Szymkowiak's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Ring lands a big uppercut and Szymkowiak crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Szymkowiak looks OK. Ring waves Szymkowiak back to his feet!

Szymkowiak is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Szymkowiak doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Szymkowiak is still on wobbly legs! Can Ring finish him?
Ring throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Szymkowiak stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Szymkowiak seems to have recovered his senses.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piotr Szymkowiak's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
