Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie Mondeux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Polllock!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Mondeux misses.
Mondeux throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Polllock counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Polllock is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mondeux wants to stand up but Polllock is controlling him.
Polllock controlling from the top position.
Mondeux is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Polllock is controlling him.
Polllock thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Polllock stops Mondeux from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Polllock controls from within his opponent's guard.
Polllock passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mondeux is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Polllock has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Polllock controls the position.
Mondeux tries to escape but Polllock is in control.
Mondeux is looking to get back to his feet here but Polllock is keeping cool and he's managed to take Mondeux's back.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Polllock is working for a rear naked choke. Mondeux is not defending it well and Polllock has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mondeux refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mondeux's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
