The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Davis.
Danny Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonne takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Davis looks to score with a jab to the body but Bonne is just out of range.
Davis rushes Bonne and presses him up against the cage.
Davis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice uppercut lands for Davis. That snapped Bonne's head back.
Davis lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bonne circles away quickly and effectively.
Davis throws the left hand but Bonne avoids the punch easily.
Davis lands with a good body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davis is looking to clinch.
Bonne fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Davis to the ground. Bonne is now in Davis's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Bonne stops Davis from standing up.
Davis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Bonne prevents Davis from getting back to his feet.
Bonne throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Bonne postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bonne is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Bonne prevents Davis from getting back to his feet.
Bonne missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Davis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Davis looks winded!
Bonne postures up in Davis's guard and throws a big left but Davis blocks it.
Bonne is pushing down on Davis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Davis is fighting to maintain full guard but Bonne has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bonne maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Davis could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bonne has cracked it and Davis is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bonne!
