Hopkins is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Pendulum - Witchcraft. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reinhardt looks for a takedown but Hopkins sprawls well.
Hopkins scores with a nice head shot.
Reinhardt with a nice cross.
Reinhardt moves in looking to clinch but Hopkins pushes him off.
Hopkins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reinhardt manages to avoid it.
Reinhardt takes a swing at Hopkins's ribcage but misses.
Reinhardt scores with a jab. Hopkins acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hopkins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Andreas Reinhardt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hopkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hopkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hopkins throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hopkins throws a low kick but it's checked well by Reinhardt.
Reinhardt looks to score with a jab to the body but Hopkins is just out of range.

Reinhardt tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hopkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Reinhardt takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Reinhardt throws a body punch but Hopkins moves out of range.
Hopkins throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hopkins swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hopkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Reinhardt.
Reinhardt misses with a straight right.
Reinhardt scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hopkins doesn't seem bothered though.
Reinhardt moves out of range of the leg kick from Hopkins.

enabling Hopkins to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Andreas Reinhardt has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hopkins cracks Reinhardt with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Reinhardt looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hopkins finish him?
Oh Reinhardt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hopkins moves away from the strike by Reinhardt.
The fighters circling - Reinhardt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Reinhardt is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Hopkins doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Reinhardt crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Reinhardt's bad books for that mishap!
