Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Schmidt Commers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lindsay Ferrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferrier has chosen Braveheart as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Lindsay Ferrier!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrier throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Commers shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Commers throws a strike but Ferrier avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Ferrier pushes Commers off and scrambles back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Ferrier.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ferrier fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ferrier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Commers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Commers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Commers showed some decent athleticism there.
Commers throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ferrier to regain full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Commers stops Ferrier from standing up.
Commers slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Commers thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Commers is trying to ground and pound but Ferrier uses the momentary lack of control by Commers to regain half guard.
Ferrier wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Commers throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Commers uses his free foot to push down on Ferrier's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ferrier.
Commers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Ferrier looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Commers lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ferrier squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Commers scoring with strikes but Ferrier is staying in there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Commers lands with some strikes.
Commers has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ferrier's face.
Ferrier looks winded!
Commers with the ground and pound from mount.
Commers raining down hammerfists from mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Commers scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Commers trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Commers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Ferrier is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Commers breaks from Ferrier's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Commers! Ferrier is hurt baaadly! Commers is firing away with more strikes - Ferrier is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
