Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teemu Toivanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baki Hanma looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teemu Toivanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Baki Hanma!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma shoots in for a double leg but Toivanen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Hanma misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hanma shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hanma looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Teemu Toivanen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baki Hanma.
Hanma throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Toivanen's waist but Toivanen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hanma off to one side.
Baki Hanma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hanma should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Toivanen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hanma is just riding it out for now. Toivanen eventually gives up the hold.

Hanma is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Toivanen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Hanma defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Toivanen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Hanma knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Hanma for a finish.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Toivanen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Hanma has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Toivanen jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hanma is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hanma and Toivanen has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Toivanen wants to control for a moment but Hanma uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Toivanen wants to improve his position but Hanma is controlling well.

Hanma is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Toivanen is trying to stand up here but Hanma is controlling him well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Toivanen is looking for a triangle but Hanma pushes his legs off easily.

Toivanen wants to control the position but Hanma says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Toivanen is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hanma jumps into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hanma fails to land the takedown.
Toivanen moves out of range of the strikes.
Hanma misses with the combination.

Toivanen shoots in and bounces Hanma off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Toivanen wants to control from the top but Hanma keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Toivanen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hanma swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Hanma can't keep his opponent in guard - Toivanen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Toivanen passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hanma!

Teemu Toivanen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Toivanen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hanma off and has taken his back!

Toivanen has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Hanma! Can he survive? No! He's out! Toivanen gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
